The holidays have come and gone….

We have enjoyed our first holiday season at Wolfscratch Farms. This was our first White Christmas too! We had lots of good food and good company over the holidays and our daughter was excited to have Santa’s first visit at the farm.

Thanksgiving dinner started the holiday season with a free range bird smoked on our new Big Green Egg and topped with a maple bourbon glaze. Our sides included roasted roots veggies from the family garden and caramelized brussels with lots of yummy bacon.

Christmas dinner was hit, the best braised brisket enchiladas with meat from our friends at Mountain Valley Farms. We also had fabulous all-organic cardamom carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and candied ginger and carrot sprinkles (adapted from Chocylit’s cupcake blog). The carrots were fresh from our family garden!
