Want free fall produce?

September 16, 2012

Turning under our cover crop for fall planting

We are excited to begin our fall growing season, but it’s time to to plant, weed, and harvest tons of food! We need all the help we can get, as we are a small family operation. We have 8 weeks of production left and are looking for a few new, dependable worker shares to join us and learn about how we grow our fall goodies.

We are looking for applicants for our CSA worker share program. This means that you will come to the farm and help us out in exchange for a free CSA basket. This is a great way to be a part of the growing experience, learn more about the food you eat, and get to know the farmers who grow your food. We are only an hour away from Atlanta and it’s a great way to get out and enjoy the beautiful outdoors, or get in your daily workout.

One of our “ugly” winter squash!

To join as a CSA worker, one day of work per week gets you a full CSA basket on the weeks you work. We would like an 8 week commitment to finish out the year for any new applicants. Please feel free to contact us at salacoacsa@gmail.com if you have any questions about our worker share program or want to join us for the summer growing season.
