Wolfscratch Farm Fall Festival October 26

September 27, 2013

Come join us for some fall fun at Wolfscratch Farm! This family friendly event will include music, farm tours, and good food, as well as a Halloween costume contest, bounce house, candy, and s’mores for the kids.

This event is free, but we urge you to donate to our “farmers” fund. As most of you know, this has been a tough year for farming, and this will be a great way to come together as a community to celebrate the ending of the growing season and show your support for our mission. Our “farmers” fund will help us recoup the cost of soil and crops that we lost this year, and stimulate our movement towards a greener, happier 2014. We hope to raise enough money to spread some around to help other local farms in need. We had a fundraiser for another farm last year, and felt the love of the community as everyone came together to pitch in and help a family in need. We are looking for that same spirit of helpfulness and awareness again this year.

Part of our long-term goal at Wolfscratch Farm is to open our farm to the community so everyone can enjoy our property and learn about sustainable farming. We are looking forward to having our supporters out to the farm to enjoy this beautiful fall weather!

Kristen, it was a pleasure to talk with Jamie, and I look forward to having new friends like you both. You know, I realized, perhaps Jesus fed the multitude by sharing what He has with those that appreciated His love and generosity. Then those people brought to the table their “bread”, and everyone ate and feasted. Nothing mysterious about it, Miracles are not something to wish for, they are something to make happen. I see Jesus at work in your farm, and in my heart too. Such a blessing we have here, and I look forward to feasting with everyone and getting the word out that it’s time we stop fighting evil as an island, and come together as a body. We start with our neighbors and our community and it spreads. I believe your farm could be the beginning of the world eating yummy and delicious foods…no one going hungry anymore. I pray not only for that to be true, but to have the wisdom to communicate with others and make my dream a living and active miracle. God bless your farm and have a fantastic day. Thank you for all the seeds you are planting. The harvest is plentiful and the workers are few, but that doesnt have to remain a reality. ❤

I am super excited! I am currently unemployed. Is there anyway I can help with the presentation and preparation for the festival? And what else can I do to help?
