The Wolfscratch Farm Nonprofit

Growing Community from Soil to Plate…

We here at Wolfscratch Farm have always understood the importance of community and the power of collaboration with our friends and supporters. Since its inception, the farm has given rise to a successful CSA, a workershare program for those who wish to pitch in at the farm instead of pay for produce, classes, workshops, camps, and fundraisers. Now we wish to take the step toward something even bigger: a 501c3 non-profit that will allow our community–kids and adults alike–to utilize free educational resources  that will be funded by farm-to-table dinners and produce sales.

Our mission is to foster community interest in sustainable farming through a connection with your food from the soil to your plate. We are giving the education and tools needed to contribute to a more lasting sustainable solution to the current food system in the US. Through our programs, we teach everything from how to grow sustainable, healthy food to how to cook the food you grow while providing a place for the community to come together for communal eating and sharing of ideas.

Our plan is to offer some of the following through our newly-founded 501c3:

-Farm-to-table dinners in the gardens catered by local chefs using produce from Wolfscratch Farm
-After-school programs for kids interested in sustainable agriculture and/or the culinary arts
-Classes and workshops for adults covering topics ranging from gardening, to cooking, to food preservation

Many of you will be happy to know that we will continue to be present at local Farmers’ Markets and will also offer our CSA during the growing season.

In order to continue moving toward the realization of our mission, we need the support of our community more than ever!  Please consider donating to the cause by using the “donate now” button below. With your contributions, we will move all the faster toward free education for the community! The plans are still unfolding, so we will keep this page and our email subscribers updated as new developments occur.
