Greetings from the farm to all of our friends and supporters! We can barely believe it, but it’s time again to announce our annual Fall Festival at Wolfscratch Farm. We’ve decided to take a Potluck approach this year to encourage the community to get involved with sharing dishes created using local fare. We love to cook here at Wolfscratch Farm and feel that it’s something that can be enjoyed by anyone with a desire and fresh ingredients. Jamie will be contributing his famous chili trio (red, pork green, and vegetarian) as usual, but we’re curious about what the community can conjure with their locally-sourced produce. The rules for the dishes are simple: use as many locally-grown and organic ingredients as possible. It doesn’t have to be 100% of either, but we urge a trip to your favorite farmer’s market or produce stand to support your local growers as we near the end of the season.

Admission is free, but we encourage a donation to our farmer’s fund to help launch our new Farm-to-table dinner and after-school education programs that are planned for next year. Hear more about those plans at the event! You can also gain access to our permaculture workshop taking place the following day, November 2nd by donating a minimum of $35 to the farmer’s fund. Learn more about the workshop here.

We’re excited to announce that we will also be holding a raffle for the chance to win a half-share and full-share CSA membership for a 2015 half-season. Tickets are $3 for a half-share and $5 for a full. Purchase tickets when you RSVP (see below). Rules for the Raffle: 1) A minimum of 50 total ticket sales are required to hold the raffle for the two CSA shares; if this minimum is not met, two winners will go home with a full-share-size basket of produce after the potluck 2) Entrants must reside locally (in the Jasper area) or in Decatur 3) Limit two tickets per family (if a name is drawn twice, we will hold a redraw for one ticket), 4) Workershares are welcome to enter!

Look forward to lots of entertainment including live music, walks through our transformed permaculture gardens, a bonfire, s’mores, apple bobbing, a kids’ costume contest, and more! Camping will also be available to those staying for the workshop the following day.

So come on down to Wolfscratch Farm to celebrate the season! You can RSVP and purchase raffle tickets by clicking here.
